On Tuesday evening, we were delighted to welcome 21 scouts from the 17th Bolton troop to our Ashburner Street studios. It's not unusual for us to open our doors - we have hundreds of visitors every year. But it's rare for us to squeeze more than half a dozen guests in our studios at one time!

The scouts were taken on a tour of our three studios and production office, based above the market hall. They quizzed our Technical Director and Station Manager. But what they weren't expecting is to be taken into Studio 2 and to record a show for actual transmission. We split them into twos, and gave a very quick hands-on training course. Everyone contributed, choosing the songs for the show and offering jokes. dedications and announcements.
