At Bolton FM, we believe that mental health matters. We took part in Mental Health Minute, a one minute message featuring globally famous voices talking about the stigma of mental health, in May

This week we're proud to be part of an event at Marketplace Bolton that shines a light on mental health issues within the Bolton community. 'Changing Minds' sees a number of well-known local charities and support organisations come together to offer help and advice on mindfulness and wellbeing, it started on Monday and runs until this Saturday.

Long regarded as a taboo subject, mental health awareness is a growing concern, with one in four people in the UK affected by a mental health condition each year.

The 'Changing Minds' event is the brainchild of Richard Kemp of Westgrove Group, Market Place's Facilities Management partner and
touched by some of the issues that staff and tenants have encountered in the course of their working lives, Marketplace Bolton bosses were spurred into action to create an event to nurture and support those in need - both within the centre and the wider community. This week's activity together has helped to create a hub of mental health support for the whole community, right in the heart of Bolton, helping to challenging the stigma and 'Changing Minds' about mental health.
