It's almost Christmas! We've worked hard on the Christmas schedule and we can unwrap some of it in this column. My copy has scruffy notes scrawled all over it.

On Christmas Eve our youngest volunteers Emma Wilkinson, age 10, reads the classic Christmas tale "The Night Before Christmas" by Clement Clark
Moore from 4pm. Emma's reading is accompanied by classic Christmas songs by Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and others.

Christmas Day starts with 'A Thought for Christmas', a special show dedicated to our regular 'Thought That Counts' feature, presented by Kevan Williams, Christmas Day also sees the return to Bolton FM of 'The Family Show' presented by Sofia and Lucia Cardillo between 11am and 1pm while Big H presents two hours of comedy from 3pm.

We're also rebroadcasting Monday Night Jazz with David Gregory's 'Sinatra Special' between 8pm and 10pm on Christmas Day as we remember Frank Sinatra who would have been 102 on the 12th of December.

On behalf of Bolton FM I'd like to say thank you, to everyone who has listened, volunteered or got in touch with us in anyway. We really do appreciate it and we love being the voice of the Bolton family, so to quote Clement Clark Moore "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night".

And remember, one of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas Day - don't clean it up too quickly.
