I remember the first time I heard Dean Martin's "Ain't that a Kick in the Head"

It was on an escalator in a Manchester store, they were playing "Eee-O 11: the Best of the Rat Pack" which was released after the remake of Ocean's 11 in 2001. I listened to the full album and was late back to work.

We can be so busy we rarely take the time to listen.

If you were at the Food and Drink festival last weekend you may already know about the Bolton FM Listening Campaign - we were out in force spreading the word, wearing polo shirts with the slogan 'Bolton FM is listening... are you?'

We're inviting you to listen to us and look at the schedule on our website www.boltonfm.com  and tell us what you think. You can contact us via Twitter or Facebook by searching for Bolton FM or by e-mail to listening@boltonfm.com

Bolton FM's Keith Harris said: "Bolton's community radio has been on air for over eight years and it's the hard work of our volunteers and the wide variety of radio we provide that has helped to make Bolton FM the huge success it is today. The listening campaign is all about connecting with the community of Bolton and gaining new listeners for Bolton's only dedicated radio station. We want to hear from listeners about what they want to hear on their radio, perhaps they want more local stories from residents or maybe their favourite genre of music is missing. Radio stations don't often do this, but we think it's essential to keep people tuned into their town".

Over the next year the campaign will be spreading around Bolton, from Farnworth to Horwich.

It's your opportunity to influence your community radio station.
