There's a 'Thank You' card and a box of nice biscuits on the kitchen table.

"To all the staff at Bolton FM, thank you for your support over the year, and for supporting our students."

Its nice to know that we're making a positive contribution towards the education of young people in Bolton, particularly those who may have support needs. It isn't something we shout about, but it is important to us as Bolton's community radio station.

Last week a group of Year 6 pupils from Chorley New Road Primary School visited the station to learn about radio, we taught them about radio, interviewed them and helped produce an advert to promote the school's Summer Fayre - on Friday 30 June.

Bolton Hospice's Midnight Memories Walk was a great success raising over £100,000 for the Hospice! We at Bolton FM would like to thank MBDA, Bolton at Home, Seddons and the University of Bolton for their support in funding the large video screen we used on Victoria Square. The whole night showed how Bolton benefits when businesses and the community work together.

Typically this time of year sees a turnover in volunteers- some go on holiday, others leave for University and some familiar faces return for a short while, so don't touch that dial!
