Spurred on by the vinyl revival, music buyers are returning to the cassette for its retro appeal, collectability and its novelty value. The return of the humble cassette coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Sony Walkman this month, celebrated in a new exhibition at the Sony museum in Tokyo, which runs until September 1.

We're in the middle of working with  the University of Bolton as it is Graduation week. Graduation is very special occasion to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the University's students.

This Sunday sees IRONMAN UK returning to Bolton. One thousand seven hundred and six people will swim two point four miles; cycle one hundred and twelve miles and complete a twenty six mile marathon.

Bolton FM was officially launched by the then Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Norman Critchley, on 20th June 2009 at the start of the One Bolton Festival in Victoria Square, ten years ago today.
