Sunday is Mother’s Day.

The grand final of Bolton Hospice's Strictly Learn to Dance 2019 takes place at the University of Bolton Stadium this weekend.

The finalists will put 3 months of dance practice and fundraising into action, waltzing, jiving and quickstepping around the ballroom floor hoping to be crowned as this year's winner.

Bolton FM’s Vicky Hawksworth is hoping to impress the judges with her American Tango and you can find out how well she did by tuning in to her show on Sunday afternoon from 3pm.

Sunday is also Mother’s Day.

There are many traditional celebrations of mothers and motherhood that have existed over thousands of years, such as the Greek cult to Cybele, the Roman festival of Hilaria, or the Christian Mothering Sunday celebration (originally a commemoration of Mother Church, the church where one was baptised, or the local parish church, or the nearest cathedral, not motherhood).

But on Sunday we want to help you give your mum a gift you can't get on the high street. Your mum deserves to be treated like royalty, forget flowers and chocolate, we've got you covered.

If you'd like to get involved and give your mum a lovely message by emailing studio@boltonfm.com or calling call 0345 3110 965 telling us why she’s the best mum around and what her absolute favourite song is then we’ll read it out on-air on Sunday.

You'll definitely win favourite child points after that!
