I'm stuck. I've written and rewritten this sentence five times. I don't recall how many times I've hit the 'delete' key on my keyboard.

I don't know where to begin, because there's so much is happening at the moment.

Mariah. Wham. The Pogues. Shakin' Stevens. So ingrained are the Christmas classics into popular culture that they're as much a staple of this time of year as mince pies, pigs in blankets and the Queen's speech. It looks like Perfect - Ed Sheeran's duet with Beyonce - is going to be this year's number one, I know it's a song we're playing in the studio and when we're out and about.

The Christmas Markets are in full swing on Deansgate, Newport Street and Oxford Street with over forty international and local traders offer quality festive foods, drinks and gifts even someone like me who isn't really Christmassy is get that tingling and tinselly feeling that it's Christmas. The Christmas Market finishes on 20th December so you need to get a wriggle on.

Elsewhere, there's lots of free things to do at Bolton Market this Saturday with magic shows at 11:30am and 1pm. Both shows are brought to
you by Mark Daniel who is a former host of Bolton FM's Mid-Morning show (and a someone I've known for years) from his shows in the past I know they'll be great.

There's still time to donate to Bolton's Lions' Christmas toy appeal. They're looking for donations of any unwanted toys either new or good
quality second hand. A list of partners supporting the campaign -- some providing financial or practical support, or support collecting toys and gifts - is available on the Bolton Lions' website (boltonlions.org.uk).

With your generosity they hope to make this year a really special one for Bolton families in need.
